Thirty days

What was the most beautiful moment of this month?

The new Hilal

Eid Mubarak

Thirty days have passed. What they gave you doesn't leave with them.

Use the left and right arrow keys to move back and forth.

The Hilal Ramadan Journal standing in warm evening light in a mosque courtyard.
An open journal on a window sill at blue hour, next to a candle, dates and tea.

“Every year it's over before you've truly felt it.”

A few moments stay with you, the rest blurs together. This journal is here so that something of these thirty days remains.

Five minutes a day is enough.

Each day has four pages. The first two fit your morning, the third your evening, and the fourth belongs to your thoughts.

O you who believe: fasting has been prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you – so that you may become mindful of God.

AL-BAQARAH 2:183

A verse for every day

Quran and hadith, in the original Arabic with the meaning in plain English. Plus a short thought and a question for the day.

Calm, not pressure

Three personal intentions instead of to-do lists. If you miss a day, there's nothing to catch up on.

  • An intention for my faith
  • An intention for the people around me
  • An intention for myself
The journal on a desk in the evening, open at the evening page, next to a cup of tea.

Morning & evening

Prayers, Quran and dhikr at a glance. In the evening, three questions that look back on the day.

  • Fajr
  • Dhuhr
  • Asr
  • Maghrib
  • Isha

A look inside

Questions & answers

Anything else? Write to us

When should I start?

Ideally a few days before Ramadan. At the front of the journal you'll find “Before you begin”, “My three intentions” and “The days before”. They help you arrive calmly. Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin on 8 February.

What is the difference between the hardcover and the paperback?

The content and size are the same: 136 pages, 6 × 9 in, black and white interior on cream paper. The hardcover has a hard cover, lasts longer and is ideal as a gift (€24.95). The paperback is lighter and more affordable (€17.99).

Does it make a good gift?

Yes. The first pages include space for a dedication: “This journal belongs to …”. As a gift we recommend the hardcover. It suits anyone you wish a mindful Ramadan, whether parents, grandparents or friends.

Is there a German edition?

Yes. „Ramadan Journal: Dreißig Tage, die bleiben“ is its own edition with the same content, also as a paperback (€17.99) or hardcover (€24.95).

Go to the German edition

Where are the verses from?

From the Quran and from the hadith collections Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. Every Arabic text is checked against quran.com. The English texts convey the meaning in plain words: an approximation of the Arabic, not a translation in the strict sense.

What if I miss a day?

That's fine. There's nothing to catch up on. Just carry on the next day. And if a question doesn't speak to you, skip it.

How much time does it take each day?

Five minutes is enough. Two pages in the morning, one in the evening. The fourth page belongs to your thoughts, whenever you feel like it.

How quickly will it arrive?

We ship from Germany with DHL to all EU countries (€8.95) and Switzerland (€12.95); within Germany it's €3.95. Order Monday to Friday by 12:00 (German time) and you can choose same-day dispatch. Outside Europe, get the English edition on Amazon, where it is printed in your region. If you want it in time for Ramadan, it's best to order by mid-January.

What happens to the €1 donation?

For every journal sold, €1 goes to people in need, for the paperback and the hardcover alike. We collect the amounts and donate them together. We share openly where the donations go on our “About us” page.
